Good course no matter what skill golfer you are and great price for the true mountain golf experience
My husband and I found this place by chance while vacationing in the Hillsville area. The restaurant on the property was absolutely amazing!!!! Everything we ordered was perfect in every way! We will definitely return again and again.
Before you play Olde Mill, be aware that they allow six-some ( I am not making this up) on the course. I had a 10:51am tee time today and spent the day watching six players putt. I finished the round @ 4:15. 5 hr 30 minute round is a reflection of a poorly managed course. Since there is no phone service on the course, I had to wait for the turn to report the six-some. I waited twenty minutes while the six players got their lunch. I reported what was going on to the pro in the pro shop and his only response was "Yes our snack bar can be a little slow." Great course, but not worth an hour and half drive to watch six players putt all day. Also disappointing that a course/pro would have so little respect for a patron and the game of golf!
Beautiful golf course. Requires very precise golf shots so it was tuff for me, maybe I'd play it better next time. Hope there is a next time, love to play it again.
Beautiful golf course with great views, wind, fast greens, and a lot of water. The course has condos and houses for rent if your group wants to stay for the weekend. They also have a really nice restaurant. Our group bought the weekend golf package which includes four rounds of golf, two nights at the condo, one dinner, and two breakfasts. All for about $350 (in early May). Great deal and great place to play golf.
